Week of 11/13

The WIS Thanksgiving Food Drive is this week. Yellow team has been assigned cereals, peanut butter, and jelly. If you can help, please send in items by the end of this week.

This Friday is a 25 cent hat day. Proceeds will go towards Thanksgiving food baskets.

There is NO SCHOOL November 22nd-24th for Thanksgiving Break.

Please be sure to check with you student to make sure they have the supplies they need for class. Most all of our classes use earbuds, scissors, colored pencils, and glue on a regular basis. Students who come to class without the needed supplies receive a mark in the book. If your family needs help with school supplies, please contact our school counselor or front office.

As the temperatures cool, please remember to send students with a jacket or coat. We go outside for recess unless the air temperature is below 32 degrees or the wind chill is below 28 degrees.

Welcome to Yellow Team!

By now you’ve learned that you are a member of the Yellow Team! We are so excited to meet you. We hope you had an awesome summer and are ready to find new ways to ‘Make Your Mark’ this year at Willard Intermediate.

What next? First, be sure to subscribe to this blog so you and your parents get all the latest updates about our team. Next, be sure to swing by the WIS open building night on Tuesday, August 15th to check out the location of your new classrooms and make any arrangements that need to be made with transportation, Tiger Tales, or food services (teachers and lockers will not be available this night, so no need to bring school supplies). Then, mark you calendars for Monday, August 28th at 5:30 pm. This is our Yellow Team Night where you’ll have an opportunity to sit down with the Yellow Team teachers and learn more about 6th grade. We will be there all evening to answer any questions you may have and get to know our new families better. Finally, bring all your gear to the first day of school on Thursday, August 17th! Be ready to Make Your Mark!

Enjoy the last few days of summer. We’ll see you next week!
